Hayden Panettiere is still learning

Hayden Panettiere has ruled out a college education - insisting she's had her own "learning experience" growing up in Hollywood.

Hayden insists her lack of higher education isn’t a problem when it comes to playing a university student.

The 20-year-old, who plays a college student in Heroes, developed a desire to attend university when she was younger but she insists that pretending to be a student is enough, because she's grown up quickly in Hollywood.

“I spend so much time with the brightest and most talented and well-rounded people,” explains Hayden. “I’ve had the privilege of having long and very intellectual conversations with people and sometimes I just sit there and listen.

“It’s like a better version of a class. I’m not per se sitting at a desk and in school but I’m still learning all the time.”

"I always wanted to go to college (but) the show happened to start in a pretty pivotal period, when you have thoughts of going to college. It was just such a success and it is what I love to do. I would love to take some classes that I really enjoy, but I think college is a learning experience for yourself as a person and (it's about) being on your own for the first time."
